About Our Church
MISSION: Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish is a welcoming, diverse, inner-city community of believers, united by our strong Catholic Faith. Through family-centered and spirit-filled worship, education, outreach, and generous service to the poor and homeless of our community, we are called to proclaim and live out the Gospel in our contemporary world.
VISION: In the coming year, the Community of Believers of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish will expand our outreach to the poor and homeless and develop additional faith formation offerings for adults and the youth of our parish. United in meaningful prayer and joyful worship we will reach out to others across the aisle and throughout our community at large. We will seek creative solutions to issues that are unique to our inner city location and diverse membership.
UPCOMING EVENT: Join us on October 5th for a Fall Concert benefitting the St.Jude Community Center and featuring New Orleans music legend Deacon John. Also featuring the Ivories and the Dixie Cups (Going to the Chapel)! This incredible event is returning to the Pavillion of the Two Sisters again for a night of fun, festivities and magnificent music. Click the image below to get your tickets before they sell out!
Oblate Mission Center
Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and the International Shrine of St. Jude is staffed by the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate. The Oblates are a missionary community of priests and brothers founded in 1816 in France by St. Eugene DeMazenod. Today there are 4,000 Oblates serving in over sixty countries around the world. Our motto is: “He has sent me to preach the Gospel to the poor”. For more information about the Oblates see: omiusa.org
