O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope.
We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick.
At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus' pain with steadfast faith.
You, Salvation of the Roman People, know what we need.
We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial.
Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father's will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings upon Himself and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen.
We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God.
Do not despise our pleas--we who are put to the test--and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin.
Archbishop Aymond has offered this prayer that Catholics can recite to replace the physical communion of bread and wine that has been indefinitely cancelled.
My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most Blessed Sacrament. I love You above all things and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot now receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there, and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.
Jesus Christ, you traveled through towns and villages “curing every disease and illness.” At your command ,the sick were made well. Come to our aid now, in the midst of the global spread of the coronavirus, that we may experience your healing love. Heal those who are sick from the virus. May they regain their strength and health through quality medicalcare. Heal us from our fear, which prevents nations from working together and neighbors from helping each other.
Jesus Christ, healer of all, stay by our side in this time of uncertainty and sorrow. Be with the doctors, nurses, researchers and all medical professionals who seek to heal and help those affected and who put themselves at risk in the process. Be with leaders of nations. Give them the foresight to act with charity and true concern for the well-being of the people they serve. Give them the wisdom to invest in long-term solutions that will help prevent future outbreaks.
Finally, stay with us as we endure and mourn, persist and prepare. In place of our anxiety give us your peace.
Jesus Christ, heal us.
